This is to Certify that a negro man now present
named William Riley applying for a certificate of
freedom was born free and raised in Kent County
and is now about 23 years old
    May 31.st 1859                        William F Smyth
    William is 5 feet 7 inches high and of light complexion

To the Clerk Circuit Court for Kent County
    I hereby Certify that a Negro Man now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom named
Moses Moore is the Indentical negro man mentioned
in a Deed of manumission executed by me me on
the 12th day of May 1859 and is now about
forty years old                           R Hynson
Moses is 5 feet 6 inches high with scar on the left
wrist
    May 12th 1859

Abe is about 25 years old 5 ft 10 inches with small
scar on left thumb and black complexion
