I hereby certify that a negro woman now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom name
Margret Tilghman was born free and raised
in Kent County                           her
March 11th 1858          Susan A X Buchannan

Margret is 5 feet 2¾ inches high about 31 years
old and of a dark complexion with scar upon
right cheek and left arm

Edward is about 31 yrs old black complexion
Scar in the left eyebrow and 5 ft 9 in High

named Benjamin Ringgold now present and
applying for a certificate of freedom is the
identical negro of that name who is mentioned
