                         This is to certify that a negro man named
William Graves now present and applying for a certificate
of freedom was born free and raised in Kent County

January 5 1858                        L W Ashley

William is five feet 6 inches high of a light complexion
and now is about 23 years old

To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
                      This is to certify that a negro man named
George Albert Jones now present and applying for a
certificate of freedom is free he being the negro by
that name that was manumitted in 1850 by Catharine
H Wroth                        Joseph G Briscoe
Jany 6 1858

George Albert is five feet four inches high of a light complexion
with a scar upon his left cheek and aged
about 45 years old
