102 Filed recorded & certificate issued Sept 29 1857 by J F Gordon clk To the Clerk of the Circuit court for Kent County This is to certify that a negro man now present called Freeman Foreman applying for a certificate of freedom is the identical person mentioned by the name of Freeman (the child of Charlotte) in a manumission executed by William Moffett on the 30 Sep 1822 And that the said Freeman is now about forty six years of age Witness Ebenezer Welch G Jeff Vickers Freeman is five feet seven and one half inches high light complexion Filed recorded & certificate issued Oct 6 1857 by J F Gordon clk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County This is to certify that a negro man named William Alfred Pearce now present and applying for a certificate of freedom was born of a free woman and raised in Kent County and is now about twenty one years of age Oct 16 1857 Joseph W Edwards Wm Alfred Pearce is five feet eight inches high black complexion Filed recorded & certificate issued Oct 16 1857 by J F Gordon clk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County This is to certify that a negro man named John Edward Pearce now present and applying for a certificate of freedom was born of a free woman and raised in Kent County and is now about twenty two years of age October 20 1857 Joseph W Edwards John is five feet five inches high of a black complexion with a scar caused by a burn on his right wrist Filed recorded & certif issued Oct 20 1857 by J F Gordon clk |
