The petition afd being Read and heard and fully understood and the afd Patrick Burke present herein Court is remanded back to the Custody of the sheriff of Somerset County there to remaine &a the Said Sheriff to witt Joseph McClester Gent present here in Court took Charge of the said Patrick Burke accordingly &a Att next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of March One thousand seven hundred and thirty four at dividing Creek in Somerset County Came againe the said Patrick Burke in Custody of the sherife afd and for as much as the said Patrick doth make it appear to the satisfaction of the court here that he hath Complyed with the Law in relation to the premisses afd and he being a Single man and having noe wife and Children and none of his Credittors being willing to accept of his service not Exceeding seven years and discharge his debts &.a Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the said Patrick Burk be sold to the Biggest Bidder not Exceeding Seven Years towards discharging of his Just debt &c which sale is ordered to be performed by the Sheriff of Somerset County by two of the Clck after the Meridium of this day afterwards in the Same Court Came the said Sheriff to witt Joseph McClester Gent and made report to the Court here that in purs^u^ance of the afd Order he had Sold the afd Pat Burke to a Certain John Scarbrough for Seventeen hundred pounds of tobacco he being the Biggest Bidder for Seven Years to Commence from the day of the date hereof &a Gentlemen By the records of Somrsett Co.ty it may appear that I am Security for the Estate of Isaac Stevens, And since his widow married with Phenix Hall who has squandred away the greatest part of the said Estate I begg the Court well order that I as Security may have an order for that part of the said Effect which is left in the County soe far as it may be found; in order to discharge the (Estate |
