313 whose Cornner tree the above said White Oak was end Planner said he did not know without it was a Cornner tree of a peice of Land James Dohotie had bought and further this deponent saith that about twelve or thirteen Year years agoe a Comeing by the abovesaid white Oak in Companie with Edward Beauchamp and he asked him ^whose bounder was and the afd Beachamp told him^ it was a bounder of Solomon Marshalls Land and this deponent saith further that he then asked the abovesaid Beauchamp where was the Bounder of James Dohoties Land (Dohotie Land being Land Called Long Ridge) and Beauchamp him or James Curtiss told him that it stood down on the damside and further this deponent saith not aperill 19.th 1735 John Waters Somerset ss.t W.m Waters Nicholas Fountain aged fourty three years or there abouts deposeth on the W.m Turpin Junr holy avengelist of almighty God and saith the same time about twenty six years agoe that he was then in Compenie with Jeffrey Long late of this County dec.d told him that a Certain White Oak which stands on the south side of the Road that Leads from William Bostons to where now Daniel Hull Lives not farr from the said Hulls with with sixteen notches in it was a Cornner or beginning tree of a tract of Land belonging to James Curtiss and is now Claimed by Daniel Hull Lying on Marumscho dams further this deponent saith his father Mercy Fountain told him words to the same purpose in Relation to the same tree and further this deponent saith not aperill 19.th 1735 John Waters Somerset ss.t W.m Waters William Boston aged thirty three years or thereabouts deposeth William Turpin Junr on the holy evangelist of almighty god and saith that some time about sixteen years agoe that he was in Companie with William Catlin on a Certain tract of Land Called Longridge which Land is not Claimed by Daniel Hull) and William Catlin told him that he had just before seen a tract which he had nott seen a Long time before and this deponent saith he asked him what was that and the above Catlin him that it was the beginning tree of the abovesaid Land and ^that^ it stood on Morumscho dams side but he did not show him the tree nor whethr it stood on the Brink of the dam side or at what distance from the dams he did not tell him only stood on the dam side and further this deponent saith not Aperill 19.th 1735 John Waters Edmund Cullen aged forty Seven Years or thereabouts deposeth on the W.m Waters holy Evangelist of almighty God and saith that Some time about twenty Six or W.m Turpin Junr Twenty Seven Years agoe that he was in Company with a Certain James Curtis Late of Somerset Coty d.d on a Certain tract of Land Called Long Ridge lying on Marumscho Dam side which Land then did belong to the above said Curtiss and Now is Claimed by Daniel Hull that the abovesaid Curtiss told him that the beginning tree of the above tract of Land stood on Marumscho dam side & further this deponant saith not Ap.l 19.th 1735 Jno Waters Wm Waters W.m Turpin Jun.r Jeane Dohotie aged fifty Six Years or thereabouts deposeth on the holy Evangelist of Almighty almighty God and Saith that about twenty Years agoe she was in Company with Majr William Planner of this County decd and her husband James Dohotie and the abovesaid Planner |
