and Eliz.a ought to recover but because it is not known what damages the afd Duncan hath Sustained
by Occasion of the non performance of the promise and assumption afd   Therefore the Sheriffe is Commanded
that by the Oath of honest and Lawfull men of his baylywick he diligently Inquire what damages
the Same Duncan has Sustained by well for his occasion of the non performance of the promise &
assumption afd as for his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed and the Inquisition
which there upon he should take he send to the Justices of his Lordships County Court of
Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek the third Tuesday of March next under his Seal and the Seals
of those by whose Oath he Should take the Same Inquisition together with the writt thereof to him directed
and the same day is given to the afd Duncan thereof also &c


The Court agrees with Charles Ackworth for the keeping Isaac and David Redmon objects
and finding them good and Sufficient meat drink washing Lodging Cloathing and attendance
for the Ensuing Year and he to be allowed for the Same Next Levey Court Eighteen
hundred pounds of tob Curr.t money of Maryland &c


Ordered that Capt John and Isaac Handy to agree with Some person or persons to take
Care and keep a Certain Jane Jones an Object and to find and provide for her all such
necessarys both in meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing and attendance sufficient
for Such an Object to have & wear p year and he she or they to be allowed for the Same &c


Ordered that John Scarbrough of Somerset Gent be allowed for the future Eight pounds Curr.t
money of Maryland ^p year^ for the keeping and finding a Certain Mathew Aires an Object Sufficient
meat Drink washing Lodging Cloathing and attendance and all other Necessarys mete for Such
an Object p year &c


Upon the Mocon of William Beckingham of Council for M.rs Sarah Gale a minor &c
      It is Granted by the Court here that George Gale of Somerset County Gent prosecute
and Sue for and in behalfe of the said Sarah Gale (who is within Age as her next friend)
in all Such suits or actions as there shall be Occasion to be brought for her &c


Joseph MaClester of Somerset County Gent produceth here in Court his Lordships Commission
as Sheriff for the County afd which is allowed of and takes the Severall Oaths appointed by act
of assembly to be taken to the Government with the Oath of hight sheriffe and Subscribed the
Oath of abjuration and test and Executed a bond according to Law for the due performance
of the Office afd with James Martin and John Scarbrough of the County afd Gent his sery
&c
