(30) the holy Evangelist of Almighty God to Execution of within Commission for Examining Evidence in Relation to y.e Boundaries of a tract of Land Belonging to Cap.t M.cClester called Sweetwood Hall before me James Dashiell Likewise to the foregoing Commission were annexed the following depositions Viz.t Somerset County s To the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County Court Wee y.e Subscribers pursuant to a Commission directed by order of Somerset County Court to James Dashiell Robert Collier John Hopkins & Jacob Mezeche dated the 22d day of June In ye 11.th yeare of his Lordships Dominion Anno Dom 1734 we the Subscribers Robert Collier and Jacob Mezick did on the 12.th day of August Ann Dom 1734 did meet on a tract of Land Called Sweetwood Hall belonging and in the Occupation of John McClester and then and there did Cause one Ceader post to be sett and affixed in a glade of Marsh precisely thirty six perches on an East by North Course distant from another Ceader post which was formerly set for the first bounder of the said Sweetwood Hall which last Ceader post by us now sett distant from y.e forther first Ceader post thirty and six perches we do hereby allow and Conclude to be a bounder of the Land Called Sweetwood Hall in order for the finding out (hereafter) the bounds of the said Land Called Sweetwood Hall when the first bound Ceader post is washed away which it is now very near And further in pursuance of the said Commission we have the same day af.d Sworn and Examined William Hickman Sen.r Neale M.cClester and Ann Samuels Evidences in relation to the bounds of the af.d Land Called Sweetwood Hall lying neare the mouth of Nanticoke River The depositions of the Evidences as followeth August y.e 12.th Ann Dom 1734 The Deposition of William Hickman Sen.r aged about seventy years this deponant being sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God saith that about Eighteen or nineteen years ago he was desired by Cap.t John McClester & Richard Samuels late deceased to go with them to renew a bounder of a tract of Land Called Sweetwood Hall and the said John McClester and Richard Samuells by Consent placed a Ceader post in the ground where they said a pine stood and they allowed the same to be a Boundarie of Sweetwood Hall dividing between them the said John McClester and Richard Samuels ^lands^ & further saith not August y.e 12.th day Ann Dom 1734 The Deposition of Neale M.cClester aged about fifty five years this deponant being sworn on y.e Holy Evangelist of Almighty God saith that the reputed bounder of Sweetwood Hall and Samuels Lott being a Ceader post near Nanticoke River side was always acknowledged to be the bounder of the af.d Lands by John McClester & Richard Samuels late deceased and further saith not |
