undefended for Which the Same Littleton Townsend his damages by occasion of the Non performance of the promise
and assumption afd against the afd John Townsend Bishop Ought to recover but because it is
not known to his Lordships Justices here what damages the same Littleton has Sustained by occasion of
the Non performance of the promise and assumption afd  It is Commanded the Sheriffe of Somerset County that
by the Oath of honest and Lawfull men of his Bailywick he diligently Inquire what damages the Same Littleton
has Sustained as well by Occasion of the Non performance of the promise and assumption afd as for his Costs
and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed and the Inquisition which thereupon the sheriffe
takes he make appear to the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek
in the Same County the third Tuesday of November then next under his Seal and the seals of those by whose oath
the same Inquisition is made he send together with the writt ot him thereof directed and the same day is given to
the same Littleton there &c
                                                    Att which said Third Tuesday of November to witt the sixteenth day of the
Same month ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six Cometh the said Littleton Townsend
by his attorney afd and the Sheriffe to witt Joseph McClester Gent sheriffe of the County afd returned
a Certain Inquisition before him taken at the Court house in the County afd the fifteenth day of this
Instant November by the Oath of Honest and Lawfull men of his bailywick by which it appears that
the afd Littleton Townsend has Sustained damages by occasion of the non performance of the promiss &
and assumption afd further than this Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed to seventeen
hundred and ninty Eight pounds of tobacco and for those Costs and Charges to one pound of tobacco

             Therefore it is Considered that the afd Littleton Townsend recover against the afd John
Bishop the damages afd as by the Inquisition afd ^above^ appears also
1002                     pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed
to the same Littleton by the Court here at his request of Increase adjudged which Certain damages
in the whole do amount to                                                            pounds of tobacco and the afd
John in mercy &c

County Gen.t Greeting know ye that wee have appointed you or any three or two of you to be our Commissioners
to Examine evidences on behalf of a Certain Thomas Willian of the County afd in relation
to the bounds of a tract of Land Called Hickory Ridge Lying in in the County afd  We therefore
Require you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two of you
shall seem Convenient you meet on the afd Land Called Hickery Ridge (you first haveing
taken your Oaths on the holy evangelist of almighty God according to act of assembly in such case
