Joseph Powell in the sum of tenn pounds Sterling with his Security James Jones in the sum of five pound Like money afd all due to be levied on their bodys goods and Chattels Lands and tenements for the use of his Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors The Condition of the Recognizance is such that If the above bound Joseph Powell do make his personall appearance at dividing Creek the 3.d tuesday of November next at a Court then and there to be held to answer all such matters and things as shall be then and there Objected against him Conserning a suspecion of kiling a horse of George Olifers and to be of good behaviour Especially towards George Olifer and not depart the said Court without leave then this Recognizance to be void and of Noe Effect or else to be in full force power and vertue taken by Mdashiell Afterwards to witt the Sixteenth day of November Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in the Same County Came the said Joseph Powell in his proper person according to a Certain recognizance by him and his security before acknowledged and prays that his appearance may be recorded and he and his Security may be discharged &c thereupon the said Joseph Powells appearance is recorded and he his Security accordingly discharged &c Whereupon the said Joseph Powell is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd Thereupon a Certain James Jones of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertakes for the said Joseph Powell and acknowledged himselfe indebted in five ^hundred^ pounds [illegible] to his Lordship the Lord Proprietary to be Levied on his body goods or Chattells Lands tenements to the use of Severall Officers that have a right to any fees on the Recognizance afd If it happen that the said Jos: Powell do not pay the Same &c
with force and Arms at the Parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court one Camblet mantle of the value of two hundred pounds of tobacco of the goods and Chattels of Joanna Hugg then and there being found then and feloniously did steal take and bear away contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Goverment and against the form of the Act of assembly in such case lately made and provided &c Test |
