263 by the Court hereunto him Granted he giving Security according to act of assembly in Such Case made & provided &c Whereupon the said William King with Capell King and Joseph MccClester both of Somerset County Gent his Securitys all present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary of Maryland in the sum of five pounds Current money of Maryland of their goods and Chattells Lands and tennaments Joyntly and severally to be made and levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it happen that the said William King do and shall not pay unto his said Lordship fifty shillings Curr.t money of Maryland for every year he shall keep such ordinary or house of Entertainment &c Likewise the said William King with Capell King and Joseph MccClester his securitys afd all present herein Court in their proper persons as afd acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of forty pounds Currt money of Maryland of their goods and Chattells Lands and tennements Joyntly and severally to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors ^to be made & Levied^ If it happen that the said William King do not keep good rules and orders and do suffer Idle loose or disorderly persons to Tipple game or Committ disorders or Irregularities in his ordinary or house of entertainment dureing the time that he shall keep the same Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such case made and provided &c
in the county afd for the use and conveniancy of the Inhabitants travellers and strangers as to them respectively shall seem mete which is by the Court unto him granted he giving Security according to act of assembly in such case made and provided &c Wherefore the said Patrick Ellison with David Wilson of Somerset County Gent his securitys both present here in Court in their proper person acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary of Maryland in the sum of five pounds Currt money of Maryland of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly and severally to be made ^and Levied^ and to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors If it happen that the said Patrick Ellison do and shall not pay unto his said Lordship fifty shillings Currt money of Maryland for ever year he shall keep such ordinary or house of Entertainment &c (likewise |
