Sworne on the Holy Evangelist of almighty God to appraise the goods and Chattells of Capt John Donelson
attached in the hands of Luke Morris for the use of Capt Samuel Hopkins have appraised as followeth
Fifty Six Gallons of Rum at Eight pounds ^tenn shillings^ Curr.t money of Maryland Josa Caldwell, Wm Holland

                                                                                     Whereupon the said Luke Morris Garnishee of the
afd John Donelson altho' Solemnly Called Comes not nor Shews Caus why &a but makes default &a

          Thereupon the said Samuel Hopkins by his attorney afd prays that upon Giving Security according to act
of assembly in Such Case made and provided the afd Fifty Six Gallons of Rum so as afd attached of the Value of
Eight pounds ten Shillings Curr.t money in the hands of Luke Morris as of the Rights and Creditts goods and
Chattells of the said John Donelson towards Satisfying unto the said Samuel Hopkins his damages and all Costs
and Charges accrewing by means of the attachment afd &a

                   Thereupon a Certain Littleton Townsend of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertakes for
the said Samuel Hopkins according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided that in Case the said John
Donelson do at any time within a year and a day appear and make all or any part of the Same ^Samuel^ Hopkins Claim
against him appear to be satisfied or otherwise to have been undue before the Laying of this attachment that
then the said Samuel Hopkins shall make restitution unto him the Same John Donelson of all or Such part
thereof as Shall be made appear to be undue &a or that he the said Littleton Townsend will do the same for
him &a

                Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Fifty Six Gallons of Rum of the value
of Eight pounds ten Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland so as afd attached be Condemned in the hands of of the
258   afd Luke Morris as of the goods and Chattells of the afd John Donelson towards Satisfying unto the afd Sam.l
Hopkins his damages and all Costs and Charges accrewing my means of the attachment afd & that he have
thereof Execution against the said Luke Morris according to act of assembly &a

planter was attached to answer to Andrew Anderson of a plea of trespass upon
the case &c
And Whereupon the said Andrew by Thomas Bluett his attorney complains that whereas the
said James Dickerson the thirteenth day of November Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and
thirty four at Somerset County afd and and within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted to the said
Andrew in the Quantity of twelve hundred and eighty eight pounds and a half of tobacco in cask for
divers Goods wares and Merchadizes of the said Andrew by him before that time sold and delivered to the
said James at his speciall Instance and request and being indebted the said James afterwards (that is to
say) the same day and year at somerset County afd in Consideration thereof then and there undertook
