218 Led to the Barr under Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County by Vertue of the Writt afd and thereupon the said Thomas Lambden and John Britt and Each of them at the prayer of the afd John Goutey are Committed into the Custody of the Sheriffe of the County afd thereto remain untill the said John Goutey of the tobacco afd in the writt afd mentioned should be fully Satisfied &.a the said sheriff to witt Joseph McClester Gent by Francis Porter his deputy prayeth herein Court took Charge of the said Thomas Lambden & John Britt accordingly &a
the third Tuesday of June then next to Satisfie John Pitts late of Somerset County planter of One hundred and Eighty six pounds of tobacco which to the Same John Pitts in the same Court before the Justices thereof at dividing Creek by discretion of the Same Justices were adjudged for his Costs and Charges which he Sustained in a Certain plea of trespass upon the Case by the afd John Britt against the afd John Pitts In the Same Court Impetrated according to the form of the Statute thereof made and provided against parties plfts which their writts in Such manner of pleas do not prosecute or in the same Should be precluded whereof he is Convict &a Att which said Third Tuesday of June to witt the fifteenth day of the Same month anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty Six being the day of the return of the Said Writt Cometh the said John Pitts by George Douglas his attorney afd and the Sheriffe of Somerset County to whom the foregoing writt was directed Likewise Cometh and the said John Britt being by the said sher Led to the Barr in Custody by vertue of the writt afd and thereupon the said John Britt at the prayer of the afd John Pitts by his attorney afd is Committed into the Custody of the sheriff of Somerset County thereto remain untill the said John Pitts of the afd One hundred & Eighty Six pounds of tobacco should be fully Satisfied the said Sher to witt Joseph MccClester Gent by Francis Porter his deputy present herein Court took Charge of the said John Britt accordingly &a Ordered by the Court here that George Trewitt son of Job: recover against Jacob Hamon Sixty pounds of tobacco for being due unto him for his attendance two days as an Evidence on behalfe of the said Jacob Hamon against Thomas Collins he having made Oath to the same &a Ordered by the Court here that Tabitha Parker James Nicholson Isaac Williams and Samuel Hopkins Sen.r Recover against Isaac Morris Ex.r of Eliz.a Davis Sixty pounds of tobacco Each for their attendance two days as an Evidence Each on behalfe of the said Isaac Morris at Suit Southy Whittington they having made Oath to the Same &a |
