213 William Hayman aged Sixty nine years sworn as afd and saith that he Carried the Chain after Southy Whittington Surveyor and when they Came to the End of the Number of Perches which was at a stooping Gumm and the Surveyor said the Number of perches was out and they Lookt in the Branch for a marked Gumm but found none as he remembers as a bound.r second Choice and further Saith not Alexander Adams aged fifty six years sworn as afd saith that some Years since he was with the Surveyor runing the second Line of Second Choice and on an Island or place of Land Surrounded with Branches the word was given that the number of Perches was out and severall people went to Look if they Could find a marked Gumm and they found a gumm down but so far rotten they Could not find any marks One Charles Mullen was present and said he had seen a marked Gumm formerly that Lookt like a bounder tree this deponant asked the said Mullen whether he was Ever was told that the tree he saw was a bounder of the Land Called second Choice who said they did not the said Mullen said that he Lived some time before that on the plantation where Mr Gillis now lives and further this deponant saith not Mathew Dorman aged fifty Seven Years being Sworn as aforesaid saith that some years agoe he was runing out some Land Called second Choice and when they Run the second Line to the End of the number of perches he Called out the Surveyor told then that he could goe nor further it was in a branch and went to Look for a marked Gumm and they saw a gumm Crooked at the top but Could not see any markes on it Charles Mullen said that he had seen a marked tree near that place Mr Gillis said he had an order to run out his plantations and he would run them this deponant saith that he remembers that when Charles Mullen Lived where Mr Gillis now Lives and further saith not Southy Whittington aged forty Nine years sworn as afd saith that he knows nothing of the bounders of Second Choice Bear quarter or Good Luck nor where they stood & further saith not William Whittington aged fifty two years sworn as afd saith that he knows nothing of the Bounders of second Choice Bear quarter or good Luck nor where they stood and further saith not Alexander Adams aged fifty six years being sworn as afd saith that the first Bounder of second Choice and Bear quarter was a white oake where now a Ceader post and stands a distance from Mr Gillis Clear ground Easterly as Mr Raymond told him he Cutt down the tree about his mill whcih was the Occasion of Setting up the post and further saith not William Haymon aged sixty Nine Years being sworn as afd saith that he was told that by |
