212 Our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient Speed Wittness John Smith Gent One of Our Justices of our said Court the 20.th day of march anno Dom 1735 One the Backside of the foregoing Commission it was Endorsed vizt June the 2.d 1736 Came Messrs John Scarbrough and Edmond Hough before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset and was duely qualified to Execute the within Commission according to the directions of an act of assembly in that Case made Sworn before me the day & Year abovesaid Jams Martin Afterwards to witt on the fifteenth day of June Anno Dom 1736 Than personally appeared here in Court before his Lordships Justices thereof John Scarbrough and Edmond Hough two of the Gent mentioned in the above Commission and made return thereof in manner following the Execution of the within Commission appears by the Severall depositions hereunto annexed John Scarbrough Edm Hough Somerset County ss.t By virtue of a Commission to us directed bearing date the 20th day of march 1735 To Examine Evidences in relation to the Bounds of a tract of Land Called Salem belonging to a Certain William Robinson Junr in the County afd Lying near snow hill ^on Pocomoke^ River we we the afd subscribers being Quallified have appointed a day as the law directs and have mett on the af.d Land and caused to come before us this 2.d day of June 1736 James Stephenson Aged 57 or there abouts being sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God do say that Mr Wm Robinson sen.r came within him and told him that the white Oak standing by the side of a swamp or branch distance 14 paces from the said branch was the corner tree of his Land and further saith not Affradose Johnson Aged 67 or there abouts being sworn as afd do say that the white Oak called and known by the name of Colemans Horns standing upon pocomoake River swamp at upper end of snow hill town that Ellis Coleman told him severall times that the af.d white oak was a corner tree of his Land and he the said Johnson further declares that Wm Robinson sen.r being upon Oath said that the af.d white Oak was the second Bounder of Colemanss Land and further saith not Sworn as af.d do say that Ellis Coleman told him that the af.d white Oak was the corner tree and he the said Stephenson further declares that Wm Robinson sen.r being upon Oath In Relation to the bounds of a tract of land called Middle six In behalf of a Certain Adam Spence told him that the abovesaid white oak was a Second Bounder of colemans Land and further saith not The above deposit^i^ons taken Before us John Scarborough Em Hough |
