20 Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honrble in twenty pounds sterling good and Lawfull money of England of his goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to be made and Levied for the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it happen that the said John White do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of August then next and do not answer unto his said Lordship of and Concerning a Certain Information against him exhibitted for excessive Usury and do not stand and abide the Judgment of the Court thereupon and do depart the same Court without Leave &a William Walton Jun.r appears according to recognizance entered into Last Court for his appearance and good behaviour to this Court whereupon the said William Waltons appearance is recorded and he and his security accordingly discharged &a Somerset County ss
Thereupon Command was Given to the Sherriff of Somerset County that he Should take the said Michael Redding if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the the Seventeenth day of June anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty five before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in the Same County Came the said Michael Redding in his proper person under Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County ^into whose Custody before that time was Committed for the Cause afd^ and being by the said Sheriff Led to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses afd above upon him Imposed says that he is not willing to Contend with his Lordship the Lord proprietor but puts himselfe upon the favour of the COurt and Submits with a protestation of his Innocency &a Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Michael Redding pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form aforesaid he is Convict thirty Shillings Currant money & that the said Michael Redding be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine aforesaid &a Whereupon the said Michael Redding is ordered to give security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by occasion of the premisses aforesaid and for his good behaviour and appearance at Augt Court next &a Whereupon Francis Porter of Somerset County Gent present herein Court undertakes for |
