                                  The Jurors for the Right honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is
for the Body of Somerset County afd upon their Oath do present that Joyce Collins Late of
All hollows parish in the County afd Spinster the tenth day of February in the Year of Our Lord God seventeen
hundred thirty and five at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit fornication
with a Certain person to the Jurors afd unknown and did permitt the same unknown person then &
there to have Carnall knowledge of her Body and to begett then and there a bastard Child on the Body of her the
same Joyce to the high displeasure of almighty God to the Evill Example of all Others in such Case offending
Contrary to the peace of the said Lord Proprietary that now is his good rule and Government and against the
form of the act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &.a

                                               On the Backside of the Foregoing Bill of Indictment it was Endorsed vizt Billa vera
Edmond Hough foreman
                                        Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take
the said Joyce Collins if &.a to answer &.a and afterwards to witt the fifteenth day of June Anno Dom one
thousand Seven hundred and thirty five Six before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here
held at dividing Creek in and for the Same County came the said Joyce Collins in her proper persona nd had a hearing
of the Indictment afd and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd as by the
Indictment afd above upon her Imposed saith that of the premisses afd above upon her by the Indictment Imposed
she is guilty thereof and makes Oath that a Certain Robert Warren is the father and Begetter of the Bastard
Child she stands Indicted for and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd   Whereupon all and Singular the premises
by the Court here seen heard and fully understood         Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that
that the afd Joyce Collins pay unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Proprietary for her fine by the Court
hereupon her Imposed for and by occasion of the premises afd whereof in form afd she is Convict thirty
shillings Curr.t money of maryland for the use of the County afd and that the said Joyce Collins be taken to
satisfie his Lordship of her fine afd whereupon the said Joyce Collins is ordered to give security for
the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses afd  Whereupon a Certain Edward Rownd of
Somerset County Gent present herein Court undertakes for the said Joyce Collins to pay the Severall Officers Fees
due by occasion of the premisses afd upon the Indictmt afd &a

person then and there to have Carnall knowledge of her body and to begett then and there a bastard Child on the
