nine pounds in gold and Nine thousand one hundred an Eleven an halfe pounds of tobacco when
afterwards ^he should be^ thereunto requested unto the said John Dennis he would well and faithfully pay and
Content and altho' the sid John Donelson hath Since paid unto the Said John Dennis the Quantyty
of three thousand Seven hundred & twenty Eight and an halfe pounds of tobacco part
of the said tobacco debt of Nine thousand One hundred and Eleven and an halfe pounds of
tobacco  Nevertheless as to the afd nine pounds in gold and five thousand three hundred &
Eighty three pounds of tobacco residue of the said Nine thousand One hundred and Eleven and
an halfe pounds of tobacco the afd John Donelson his promise and assumption so as afd made
nothing regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending the said John Dennis in that part
Craftilly and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the said Nine pounds in Gold and five thousand
three hundred and Eighty three pounds of tobacco or any part of the said Gold or Last
mentioned quantity of tobacco to the said John Dennis he hath not paid or in any sort Contented
or satisfied altho' to do the Same the afd John Donelson to witt the Same day and Year
aforesaid at the County afd and Often Since that time by the said John Dennis he was thereunto
requested but the same to him the Same John Dennis hitherto to pay or in any Sort to Content and
satisfie the said John Donelson altogether hath refused and Still doth refuse to the damage of
the said John Dennis Eighteen pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and Eleven thousand pounds of tob.o
and thereof he brings Suit &a                                    Pledges &a   Jno Doe & Ro Roe
