                                   The Jurors for the Right honrble the Lord proprietary that
now for the body of Somerset County ^upon their oath^ do present that John Langford Late of Stepney
parish in the County afd planter the ninteenth day of December in the year
of Our Lord God Seventeen hundred thirty and five at the parish afd in the County afd within
the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Thomas Carter in the peace of God and of the
said Lord proprietary then and there being with force and arms an assault did make and
him the said Thomas then and there did beat wound and Evilly treat so that of his Life it was
Much despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great damage of the same
Thomas and against the peace of ^the said^ Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government &a
Test   Thomas Carter and Mitchell Dashiell

       On the backside of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was Endorsed vizt Ignoramus
Edmond Hough Foreman
                                                                      Thereupon the said John Langford is discharged
from a recognizance afd Entered into and is ordered by the Court here that the said John Langford give
Security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by occasion of the premisses afd  whereupon
a Certain James Parrimore of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person
acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of five pounds ster
to be Levied on his body goods or Chattells Lands and tenements to be made and Levied to the use of the
Severall officers of Somerset County Court &a   If it Happen that the Said John Langford do not pay unto
the Severall Officers their Fees due upon the Indictment afd &a

                                 The Jurors for the Right honourable the Lord Propry
that now is for the body of Somerset County aforesaid upon their Oath do present
that Margarett Causey late of Stepney parish in the County afd Spinster the
Twentieth day of February in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred and thirty five at
the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Committ fornication
with a Certain Daniel Rhodes and did permitt the Same Daniel then and there to have
Carnall Knowledge of her body and to begett then and there a bastard Child on the body of her the
same Margarett to the high displeasure of almighty God to the Evill example of all others
