November Court
1735 119 and two pence Currant money aforesaid to the said William he hath ^since^ paid and satisfied Yet as to Seven pounds Seven Shillings and Eleven pence residue of the aforesaid Twenty pounds sixteen Shillings and one penny Curr.t money af.d the said Thomas his promise and assumption aforesaid in form aforesaid made nothing regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending the said William in that part Craftily and subtilly to deceive and defraud the aforesaid Seven pounds Seven Shillings and Eleven pence or any part thereof to the said William altho so to do the said Thomas by the said William on the Sixteenth day of March Ann: Dom One thousand Seven hundred thirty and four and often afterwards at Somerset County afores.d & within the Jur aforesaid by him the sid William was thereunto requested but the said Thomas the same to do hitherto altogether hath refused and still doth refuse whereby the same William sayeth he is the worse and hath damage to the value of fifteen pounds Currant money aforesaid and thereupon he brings Suit &a pledges &.a Jn.o Doe & R: Roe
any part or parcell thereof nor Security nor anything in satisfaction for the same more than the Creditts therein given to the best of his knowledge Sworn to before me y.e day & year above Will.m Stoughton Whereupon the said Thomas Gray present herein Court in his proper person is by the same Court adjudged to give speciall bail to the action af.d Thereupon a Certain William M.cClemmy late of Somerset County planter |
