(111) of the time in which he was the bailiff of him the said John at Somerset County And Whereupon the same John by William Beckingham his attorney complains that whereas the said William Jones was and Continued the bailiff of him the said John at Somerset County from the Ninth day of October in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred & thirty one untill the Ninth day of October which was in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & thirty three and for all that time had the Care and Management of Divers Goods and Chattles of the same John to wit five yards and an half of Kersey two yards and three quarters of Calicoe Six pair of mens Yarn Stockins three Yards and three quarters of Calamanco three Dozen of Buttons Six pair of best Shooe Buckles two peices of Gartering one peice of Narrow Tape & four pair of Mens Gloves to merchandize for the profitt of the said John and his reasonable account thereof to the same John when thereof afterwards he should be required to render Nevertheless the af.d William Jones altho' often required his reasonable account af.d to the same John hath not rendered but the same to him to render hath refused and still doth refuse wherefore he saith he is the worse and hath damage to the Value of twelve pounds Current money and thereof he brings Suit &.a Pledges &.a John Doe & R.d Roe And the aforesaid William Jones by George Douglas his attorney cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &.a and prays leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill next Court and he hath it & the same day is given to the af.d John Rider herealso &.a Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of March Ann: Dom: One thousand Seven hundred and thirty four came againe as well the af.d John Rider as the af.d William Jones by their attorneys af.d and whereupon the said William Jones prays further leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the af.d John Rider herealso &.a Att which said next Court to witt the Seventeenth day of June Ann: Dom: One thousand Seven hundred and thirty five came again as well the af.d John Rider as the af.d William Jones by their attorneys af.d and Whereupon the said William Jones prays further leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the af.d John Rider herealso &.a Att which said next Court to witt the Nineteenth day of August Ann: Dom: One thousand Seven hundred and thirty five came againe as well the af.d John Rider as the af.d William Jones by their (Attorneys |
