November court            1733            97

    Somerset county ss  Know all men by these presents that we John Dennis
    Sen ^and John Dennis Jun.r^ of the county aforesaid am hold^en^ and firmly bound unto the aforesaid
    County   In the full sum of fifty pounds sterling to which payment
    well and truly to be made and done we bind our selves and Either
    of our heirs Executors and administrators Joyntly and severaly
    by these presents dated this first day of august anno domine one
    thousand seven hundred and thirty three; and whereas the above
    said John Dennis Sen.r hath agreed and undertaken to keep
    the great Bridge at the head of pockomoke River in good repare
    for fifteen years in consideration of Nine thousand five
    hundred pounds of tobacco to be paid him by the said County
    The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above
    bounden John Dennis Sen.r shall well and truly keep and Maintain
    the aforesaid Bridge fitt for horses and carts dureing the
    space of fifteen years Insueing the date hereof that then the
    above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force
    and virtue in the law In wittness whereof we have hereunto set
    our hands and seales the day and year above written
