Novem Court     1733                 85

    William Kitchen appears according to his Recognizance Entered into for his appearance at this Court
    to give Evidence against a Certain Tucker Loyd on Suspicion of felony and for as much as the Grand Jurors did not
    make ^any^ presentment or Indictment against the said Tucker Loyd on Suspicion of felony afd    thereupon
    the said William Kitchen is discharged from the recognizance afd &a

John Carr
Upon the mocon of Catherine Carr wife of a Certain John Carr to this
Court for him the Said John Carr to have Liberty to keep and ordinary or
ale House within the County of Somerset according to act of parliament
    in Such Case provided which is unto him Granted he giving good Security for to Comply with
    the Laws in that Case as afd &a
                                                       Whereupon a Certain Joshua Caldwell and Thomas
    Hearn both of Somerset County planters present herein Court undertook for the said John Carr
    and acknowledged themselves to be Indebted unto his Lordship the right Honrble the Lord
    proprietary in the sum of fifty pounds Sterling Each of their Severall goods and Chattells Lands
    and tenements to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made & Levied

    If it Happen that the said John Carr do not during the Continuance of his Lycence for keeing an
    ordinary or ale house and do not Suffer any unlawfull Games to be used in his ^said^ hous and do not during
    the said time use and maintain good orders & rule therein according to Law &a then &a

His Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary Commanded
the Sheriffe of Somerset County by his writt in these words following viz.t
Somerset ss  Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the provinces of
Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &a   To the sher of Somerset County greeting
we Command you that you Attach any the Goods Chattles Rights or Creditts of John
Duncan Late of Somerset County Merchant if they shall be found in your bailywick
to the Value of seven pounds Five shillings Currant Money and four hundred pounds
of tobacco and when you have the same Attached or any part thereof the same in
your Custody safe keep so that you have the Same before Our Justices of Our
County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek the third Tuesday of November
Next then and There to be Condemned According to Act of assembly to and for the Use of
a Certain Robert Geddes ^Unless the said John Duncan by himself of his attorney shall appear & answer unto ye s.d Rob.t Geddes
by Good and Lawfull men of Your Bailywick you Make known unto the person or persons
in whose hands you make the same Attachment that he she or they be and appear
before our Justices of Our County Court to be held as afd to shew Cause if any he she or
They have why the same Goods Chattles Rights or Creditts so Attached in his her or Their
