thereof afterwards he should be required well and faithfully would pay & Content
and altho' afterwards the said John did pay and satisfie unto the af.d Joshua Eleven
hundred and Eighty pounds of Tobacco parcell thereof Nevertheless as to Eight hundred
& sixty pounds of tobacco the residue his promisse and assumption af.d in no
sort regarding but minding and fraudulently intending the same Joshua in that
part craftily and Subtily to deceive and defraud the same Eight hundred and Sixty
pounds of tobacco or any part thereof (altho' often thereunto by the same Joshua
required particularly on the first day of November in the Year af.d at the County af.d
hath not paid or him for the same in any sort contented but the same to him to pay
or for the same in any sort to content hitherto altogether hath refused and still doth
refuse to the damage of the same Joshua Seventeen hundred and twenty pounds of tobacco

the return of the said writt cometh the said Joshua Caldwell by his attorney af.d and the Sher
of Somerset County to whom the foregoing writt was directed likewise cometh and maketh
and maketh return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words Following Viz.t

       Whereupon the said John Follows in his Own proper person appears and thereupon the
said John Follows at the prayer of the afd Joshua Caldwell by his attorney afd is adjudged by the
Court here to give Speciall bail to the action afd but for want thereof the Said John Follows is Committed
into the Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County thereto remaine &.a

And afterwards in the Same Court Came a Certain James JOnes of Manny hundred in Somerset
County planter in his proper person and undertook for the said John Follows and assumed
upon himselfe (Likewise the Said John Follows present here Court as afd assumed upon himselfe)
