244 December the 24.th 1734 The Sheriff of Somerset County to witt Joseph MccClester Gentleman together with Coll Robert King Capt John Scott, Capt James Martin and Cap.t Thomas Gillis his Lordships Justices with the Clerk of the County did all meet at the Court house for the County afd at dividing Creek and Pursuant to his Lordships writt of Election did sit as a Court and did appoint a day for the Election of delegates or Burgesses to Serve in the next Generall assembly to be held at the Citty of Annapolis to witt proclamation being made in Usuall Form the Said Sher and Justices did appoint the Election afd to be on tuesday the fourteenth day of February next at which day the said Sher with Severall of the Justices of the County afd to witt Coll Robt King Capt John Smith, Mr Wm Stoughton Capt John Handy and Severall Others ^did meet at the Court house in the County afd and^ the Court being Called and his Lordships writt if Election being read the Severall Freeholders and Others Qualified to give a vote in the Election afd did vote, Elect and Chose, Coll Levin Gale Coll Robert King Mr Wm Stoughton and Maj Geo Dashiell as delegates or Burgesses for the County afd to Serve in the next Genl Assembly &a
2/6 cost of Warr.t to be levied of your bodies Goods or Chattles lands or Tenements for the use of the said Robert Scott ion Case the said John Bishop Jun.r shall not pay and satisfy to the said Robert Scott the said two pounds five Shillings with 2/6 Cost of Warr.t so as afores.d Recovered against him & with the Additional Costs thereon on the tenth day of Feb.ry Next An Acknowledgement of the above taken the 25th of May 1734 before me Jam.s Martin The Court adjourns untill the third tuesday of March 1734 Solomon Colebourn appointed Overseer of the roads in Annamessex hundred in the stead of John Starling &a |
