of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the County afd the third tuesday of November then next to answer unto Herritt Ratchford of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a and that thereof he should not fail &a And the afd Heritt Ratchford by George Douglas his attorney Complained against the said John Britt & Thomas Bellins in the plea afd as followeth viz.t Somerset ss.t John Britt and Thomas Bellins late of Somerset County Gent.m were attached to answer unto Herritt Ratchford of a plea of trespass upon the case &a And Whereupon the same Heritt Ratchford by Geo Douglas his Attorney Complains that whereas the af.d John Britt and Thomas Belling after the first day of May Ann Dom seventeen hundred & five to wit on the third day of June Ann Dom seventeen hundred & thirty three at Somerset County afores.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court did make their Certain note in writing Called a promissary with their proper hand Subscribed bearing date the day and year last mentioned and the same note to the s.d Heritt Ratchford then and there did Deliver by which note the af.d John Britt & Thomas did promise to pay to the said Heritt Ratchford or his order the sum of seven pounds Eleven Shilling & nine pence Current money of Virginia at four months after the date of the said note for value of the said Heritt Received (which said sum of Seven pounds Eleven Shillings & nine pence Current money of Virginia the said Heritt avers to be of the (Value) |
