the Court here that the said Sarah Rue be whipt at the public whiping post with ten Lashes on the bear back
well Laid on untill the blood appear & that she be taken &a   thereupon as to the Corporall punishment afd It is
Commanded the sheriffe of Somerset County that Immediately he take ye Said Sarah Rue to the publick whiping
post and there give her ten Lashes on the bear back well Laid on untill the blood appear and then return her into
Court &a  afterwards in the Same Court Came the said Sheriff and made Return that he had done the Execution of
the Judgmt afd as to the Corporall punishment afd he was Commanded   Thereupon the said Sarah Rue is ordered
to give security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by occasion of the premisses afd but for want
thereof the Said Sarah Rue is Committed into the Custody of the said sheriff there to remaine &a

To the worshipfull his Lordships Justices now in Court setting
The petition of John Murray most humbly sheweth that in the behalf
of the orphans of James Taylor deceased (viz.t) William Taylor and James
    Taylor now in the Care of John Beavins and Mathias Taylor now in the Care of M.r Maccuddy
    whoe was bound to him by the said John Beavins all which said Children have been hitherto
    Neglected as to Learning and as your petitioner is nearly related to the said Children he thinks
    it his duty to Informe your worships whoe are the father of orphans that Care may be taken
    for their Edication & as in duty bound your petitioner shall ever pray      John Murray

       Thereupon It was Commanded the sher of Somerset County that he Sumons the Said John Bevins so that he
be and appear before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third
tuesday of november next to answer the petition afd &a

       Att which said third tuesday of november to witt the ninteenth day of the Same Month Ann Dom One thousand
seven hundred and thirty four Came here in Court as well the afd John Bevins as the afd Petitioner
in their proper persons and the petition afd being read and heard and the Severall Allegations afd
as well on the part of the said John Beavins as on the part of the petitioner being fully understood &
mature deliberation thereupon being had      Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the
afd John Beavins keep the orphans afd and that he putt them to Schooll by march next Otherwise
if there is any further Complaint on behalfe of the orphans afd against him thats materiall the orphans
shall be removed to some freind or person or persons that will take Care of them &a


Robert Geddes appears according to his Recognizance Entered into for his good behaviour and appearance at
this Court and is discharged therefrom he and his security &a

Joshua Caldwell appears according to his recognizance Entered into for his good behaviour and appearance at
this Court and is discharged therefore &a

Mary Harrison appears according to her Recognizance for the good behaviour and appearance at this Court &
she and her security is discharged therefrom and in order to give Security for fees due to the Severall Officers
