Attorney Complaineth that whereas the afd Francis the sixth day of January which was in the
Year of Our Lord God seventeen hundred and thirty two at Somerset County afd was Indebted
unto the afd William Gunn in the Sum of fourteen pounds one Shilling & nine pence farthing
being for sundry articles which are properly ^Chargable^ in an account and so thereof being Indebted the said
afd Francis afterward to wit the same sixth day of January in the year afd at the County afd
in Consideration thereof upon himself did assume and unto the Same Wm Gunn then and there faithfully
did promise that the afd Francis the afd Sum of Money unto the Same William Gunn when thereof
afterward he should be required well and faithfully would pay and Content  Nevertheless the afd
Francis his promise and assumption afd nothing regarding but minding and fraudulently Intending the
afd W.m Gunn of the af.d sum of money Craftilly and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the said Sum of
money or any part thereof unto the Same W.m Gunn hath not paid (altho to do the same the afd
Francis afterward to wit the tenth day of January in the Year of Our Lord God seventeen hundred
and thirty two at Somerset County afd by the afd by the afd William Gunn was required) but that
unto him hitherto to pay or in any sort to Content altogether hath refused and still doth refuse
to the damage of the same William Gunn twenty Eight pounds Current Money of Maryland
and thereupon he bringeth suit &.a                                             pledges &.c  John Doe & Roe
