 Somerset ss     John Crafford late of Somerset County Taylor was attached to answer unto

John Reddish of a plea of trespass upon the Case &a
                                           And whereupon the Same John Reddish by Francis Allen his attorney Complaines
that whereas the afd John Crafford the seventh day of November in the year of our Lord God one thousand
seven hundred and thirty three at Somerset County and within the Jurisdiction of this Court
was Indebted unto the af.d Jn.o Reddish in the sum of Eight pounds one shilling and four pence
Cur money of Maryland for divers goods wares and Merchandises by the same John Reddish unto
the af.d John Crafford at the Special Instance and request of the same Jn.o Crafford before that time
there sold and delivered as by an account thereof in Court ready to be produced may appear
and so thereof being Indebted the af.d Jn.o Crafford afterwards to wit the same seventh day of November
in the year af.d at the County af.d and within the Jurisdiction af.d in Consideration thereof upon
himself did assume and unto the af.d Jn.o Reddish then and there faithfully did promise that
he the af.d John Crafford the same Eight pounds one shilling and four pence unto the same
John Reddish when thereof afterward he should be required well and faithfully would pay
and Content and altho the af.d John Crafford twelve Shillings and Eight pence Currant money
to the said John Reddish he hath paid and satisfied yet as to seven pounds Eight Shillings and
Eight pence Cur Money residue of the af.d Eight pounds one shilling and four pence the said
John Reddish his promise and assumption af.d in form af.d made but little regarding but
Minding ^&^ fraudulently intending the same John Crafford in this part Craftily & subtilly
to deceive and defraud the af.d seven pounds eight shillings and eight pence or any part
thereof unto the same John Reddish hath not paid or in any sort contented altho to do the
same the af.d Jn.o Crafford afterwards to wit the same day and year af.d and often afterwards
at the County af.d within the Jurisdiction af.d by the af.d Jn.o Reddish was requested but that
unto him hitherto pay or in any Sort to Content altogether hath refused and Still doth
refuse to the damage of the said John Reddish of fourteen pounds Seventeen Shillings
and four pence Like money and thereupon he bringeth suit &a
