of the Said Writt Cometh the said Robert Bolton by Francis Allen his Attorney and
the sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoeing Writt was Directed Likewise
Comes and Makes Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed By Vertue of the Within
Writt to me Directed to the Justices of Somerset County I Do Certifie that On the
Second Day of March One thousand seven hundred and thirty ^three^ I Did Attach of the
Goods & Chattles of the Within Named Robert Holland to the Value of One hundred
& three pounds fifteen shillings and Two pence Current Money and Two thousand
pounds of Tobacco in the hands of Samuel Hopkins Junr and William Corde Junr and
I Do further Certifie that before Joshua Merrill and Richard Roe Good and Lawfull
Men of My bailywick I have made Known to the afores.d Samuel Hopkins Junr and
Wm Corde Jun.r that they be and appear att the Time and place appointed

    And the afd Samuel Hopkins Jun.r Garnishee of the afd Robert Holland by William
Beckingham his attorney Comes and prays Leave thereof to Imparle hereunto untill
next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the afd Robert Bolton herealso &a

    Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand
seven hundred and thirty four Came again as well the afd Robert Bolton as the afd
Samuel Hopkins Jun.r by their attorneys afd and thereupon the said Samuel Hopkins by
his said attorney as before Comes and Saith that the afd Robert Bolton Condemnation of
the premises so as afd attached in his hands to have Ought not because he Saith that he
the Said Samuel at the Day of the Laying the attachment afd in his hands had nor or at
Any Time since hath had any of the Goods Chattles Rights or Credits of the Said Robert
Holland in his hands and this he is ready to Verifie wherefore he prays Judgment if the
afd Robert Bolton Condemnation of the premises so as afd attached in his hands
to have ought &a    afterwards to witt the Eighteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand
Seven hundred & thirty four as afd the said Robert Bolton then and there his writt afd against
the afd Samuel Hopkins Garnishe as afd did not prosecute ^with Effect^ but Voluntarily permitted his
suit to be discontinued &a

          Therefore Afterwards to witt the Same day and Year by discretion of the Justices of
his Lordship the Lord proprietary here were adjudged to the Same Samuel Hopkins Jun.r Two
285   hundred & Eighty Five          pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his defence
in that part Sustained according to the form of the Statute in Such manner of Case thereof Lately
made and provided and the afd Robert Bolton in Mercy and the afd Samuel have thereof Execution &a
