Attorney Complains that whereas the afd Mary the                       day of                          in the
Year of Our Lord seventeen hundred & thirty Two at Somerset County afd was Indebted Unto
the afd John in the Sum of Twenty One Pounds Current Money Money of Maryland for sundry
things and Articles Lying property in an Account and so thereof being Indebted the Same Mary
in Consideration thereof afterwards to wit the same Day and Year afd at the County afd upon
herself Did assume and to the same John then and there faithfully Did promise that she the
said Mary the afd Twenty One pounds to the same John when thereof afterwards he should be
Required well and Truly would pay and Content  Nevertheless the afd Mary her promise and
assumption afd in no sort regarding but minding and fraudulently Intending the same John in
this part Craftily and Subtily to Deceive and Defraud the afd Twenty One pounds to the
Same John altho' to do the same Mary the          Day of                   in the Year afd at the
County afd was required but that to him to pay or for the same in any sort to Content hitherto
altogether hath refused and Still Doth refuse to the Damage of the Same John thirty pounds
Current Money and thereupon he brings suit &a             pledges &a    John Doe & R.d Roe

    And the afd Mary Stilley by Francis Allen her attorney Comes and Defends the force and
Injury when &a and prays Leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill Next Court and she hath it and
the same Day is Given to the afd John herealso &a             Att which said Next Court to Witt
the Ninteenth Day of March Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came again
as well the afd Jno Magloghlin as the afd Mary Stilley by their attorneys afd and Whereupon
the said Mary Stilley prays further Leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill Next Court and she
hath it and the same Day is Given to the afd John Herealso &a

       Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand seven hundred
and thirty four Came againe as well the afd John Magloghlin as the afd Mary Stilley by their attorneys
afd and whereupon the said John Magloghlin his writt & declaration afd then and there against
the afd Mary Stilley did not prosecute with Effect but Voluntarily permitted his Suit to be discontinued

                         Therefore afterwards to witt being the same day and Year by discretion of his Lordships
275    Justices here were adjudged the Same Mary Stilley Two hundred & Seventy Five
pounds of tobacco for her Costs and Charges by her about her defence in that part Sustained according
to the form of the Statute in Such manner of Case thereof Lately made and provided and that the afd
John be in Mercy and the afd Mary have thereof Execution &a
