       Patrick Handlin appears according to his recognizance and he and his Security were accordingly
discharged   whereupon the said Patrick is order for to give Security for the payment of the Severall
Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon Benja Holland Somerset County
planter present here in Court undertook for the said Patrick for to pay the severall Fees due as afd &a

 Somerset County ss     The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord Proprietary
that now is for the body of Somerset County afd upon their Oath do present that
Sarah Christopher Late of Stepney parish in the County afd Spinster the last day
    of February in the Year of Our Lord God Seventeen hundred and thirty three at the parish afd in the
    County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Committ fornication with a Certain person to the
    Jurors afd unknown and did permitt the same unknown person then and there to have Carnall
    Knowledge of her body and to begett then and there a bastard Child on the body of her the same Sarah to
    the high displeasure of almighty God to the evill Example of all Others in Such Case Offending Contrary
    to the peace of the said Lord Proprietary that now is his good rule and Government and against the
    act of assembly in such Case Lately made and provided      &a
Test  Michael Disharoon                 On the back side of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was thus
endorsed vizt  Billa Vera   Samuel Wilson Foreman

       Thereupon Command was given to the sherriffe of Somerset County that he should take the said
    Sarah Christopher if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the Eighteenth day of June anno
    Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty four before the Justices of his Lordships County
    Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in and for the County afd Came the afd Sarah
    Christopher in her proper person and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe
    of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that of the premisses afd upon her Imposed
    she is Guilty thereof and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd &a

       Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court being seen heard and fully understood   It is
    Considered that the afd Sarah Christopher pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her
    fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses afd whereof in form afd
    she is Convict thirty shillings Currant money for the Use of the County afd and that the said Sarah
    Christopher be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd &a

       Whereupon the said Sarah Christopher is Ordered to Give Security for the payment of the severall
    Officers their Fees due upon the Indictment afd by means of the premisses afd    thereupon a Certain
    Clement Christopher present herein Court acknowledged himselfe in five pounds Sterling to be Levied
    In Case he doth not pay the severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses upon the Indictment
