Required to Issue an Attachment on behalf of James Shirly for the sum of
in the Acco.t herewith sent you proved with the Incident Charges according to the
forme of an Act of Assembly in such case made and provided and for your y.r so
Doing this Shall be your warrant as wittness my hand this twenty Sixth day

                                                    Pursuant to an act of assembly of this province now in
force and by Vertue of the above Warrent was Issued the Following attachment against the Goods Chattells
Rights or Cred.tts of Robert Adkins vizt

Somerset ss   Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of maryland and avalon Lord Baron
of Baltemore &.c  To the Sher of Somerset County Greeting we Command you that you attach any the Goods
Chattells Rights or Cred.tt of Robert Adkins Late of Somerset County maryner if they Shall be found in Your
Baylywick to the Value of fourteen hundred pounds of tobacco and One pounds three Shillings and Six
pence and when you have the Same attached or any part thereof the Same in Your Custody Safe keep so
that you have the same before our Justices of our county Cot of somerset to
be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June Next then and there to be
Condemned According to act of assembly to and for the Use of a Certain James
Shirley Unless the said Rob.t Adkins by himself or his Attorney shall appear and
answere unto the said James Shirley in a plea of Trespass upon the case &.c
According to Law and that by good and Lawfull men of your Bailywick
you make known unto the person or persons in whose hands you make
the same attachment that he she or they be and apear before our Justices of
our county Court to be held as afd to Shew cause if any he she or they have why
the same goods Chattels Rights or Creditts so attached in his her or their hands
ought not to be condemned and Execution thereof had and made According to
Act of Assembly in such case made and provided if to him her or their it shall
seem meet and how you Shall Execute this Writt that you make known unto our
said Justices at the day and place afd and have you then and there this Writt
Wittness W.m Planner Gent one of Our Justices of our said Court the ^twentieth^ day of
March In the sixteenth Year of Our Dominion &.c Ann Dom one thousand seven
hundred and thirty

          Att which Said third tuesday of June to witt the fifteenth day of the Same month ann Dom One thousand
Seven hundred and thirty One being the day of the return of the Said Writt Cometh the Said James
Shirley by Levin Gale his attorney and the Sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoeing writt was
directed Likewise Cometh and maketh Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed vizt

    To the worshipfull the Justices of the Court within Mentioned I Certifie that I have attached two horses
appraised to fifteen hundred pounds of tobacco as the Goods and Chattells of Robert Atkins and
have delivered the Same unto the within Named James Shirley         John Purnall sher

       Whereupon the Said James Shirly by his attorney afd Comes here into court and prays that upon Giveing
Security according to act of assembly the afd two horses of the Value of fifteen hundred pounds of
tobacco as of the Rights and Cred.tts of the afd Robert Adkins may be Condemned for the Use of the Said
James Shirley towards Satisfying unto the Said James Shirley the afd Fourteen hundred pounds of tobacco &
One pound three Shillings and Six pence Curr money

          Thereupon a Certain Levin Gale of Somerset County Esq.r being present here in Court undertakes for the said
James Shirley according to act of assembly that if in Case the Said Robert Atkins do at any time appear
within a year and a day and ^make^ all or any part of the Said James Shirley's Claim against him to be Satisfyed
or otherwise to have been made under before the Laying of this attachment that then he the Said James Shirley
