1730 77 Ordered the court that John Barkley pay unto John Hooffington and Daniel Boyce two hundred and seventy pounds of Tobacco Each being due to them for the Attendance Nine days ^Each^ as an Evidence on behalfe of the said John Barkley against Joseph McClester they having made oath to the same &.c Ordered by the court that Robert Smith adm.r Archibald Smith pay unto George Howard and Nehemiah Howard one hundred and fifty pound of Tobacco Each being due to them for their Attendance five days Each as an Evidences on behalfe of ^the said^ Rob.t Smith adm.r Archibald Smith against Jones Records they having made oath to the same &.c Ordered by the court that James Shirley pay unto Rob.t Adkins and Jam.s Burnet one hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco Each being due to them for their attendance five days as Evidences on behalf of the said James Shirley against Charles Richardson they having made oath to the same &c Ordered by the court that James Shirley pay unto Mathew Dogan Ninty pounds of tobacco being due to him ^for his attendance^ as an Evidence ^three days^ on behalfe of the said James Shirley against Charles Richardson they ^he^ having made oath to the same &.c
and Seven hundred and Sixteen pounds of tobacco which ^to^ James Edwards in Our Court before Our Justices at dividing Creek in Somerset County were adjudged for his damages which he had by Occasion of of a Certain promise and assumption to the Same James Edwards by the aforesaid James Lindow in the County afd made and performed and the same mony have before Our Justices of Our County Court of of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of march next to Satisfie the afd James Edwards of his damages aforesaid whereof he is Convict and have You then and there this writt Wittness &c Att which Said third tuesday of march to witt the Sixteenth day of the Same month anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Came the Said James Edwards by Francis Allen his attorney and the Sher of Somerset County to witt John Purnall Gent Likewise Cometh and maketh Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed viz.t By Vertue of the within Writt to me directed I have Levied of the Goods and Chattells of James Lindow to the Value of Eleven pounds Seven Shillings Currant mony and Seven hundred and Sixteen pounds of tobacco the which I have paid to James Edwards as by the within Writt I am COmmanded so answers John Purnall sher
