the Bounds afd as follow.s vizt               Thomas Gray Aged forty three years or their
abouts being by us sworn upon the holy Evangelist of Allmighty god Deposeth & saith
that his Father told him that the first Bounder of greens Chance was a sipres
and that it stood in the Swamp of Dividing Creek and that his father afd shewed
him one or Two Line Trees which this Deponant saith seems to answer with
the sipres now in his view and that he does believe that the sipris afd now in his
sight is the first Bound.r of green Chance and further saith not      Thom.s Gray

Daniel Townsend aged thirty six years or there abouts being by us sworn upon
the Holy Evangelist of Allmighty god Deposeth and saith that he was some
years ago hunting in the Dividing Creek swamp and there found this sipres now
in his sight marked with sixteen notches standing near ye Run of the said Creek
and from what he had heared old M.r Gray say did suppose it to be the Bound.r
of greens Chance for some time before he this Deponant had found some be
trees in ye afd swamp near this place and M.r Gray forewarned him from falling
the trees afd and told him that was his Land and further saith not

Somerset County ss    Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the

provinces of maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baron of Baltemore &c
                               To Levin Gale, W.m Stoughton, John Caldwell and Thomas Gillis all of Somerset County   
    Gentl: Greeting Know Ye that we have appointed you or any three or two of you to be Our Commissioners
    to examine evidences on behalfe of a Certain William Allexander of the County aforesaid in Relation to the
    bounds of a tract of Land lying in the County aforesaid containing two hundred and fifty acres called trouble
    we therefore require you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two
    of you shall seem convenient you meet on the afd Land Called Trouble you first having
    taken your oaths on the holy Evangelist of Allmighty God According to Act of Assembly
    in such case made and provided and there cause to come before you or any three or
    two of you all such Evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you nominated
    by the said complainant (or deft if any) and that you or any three or two of you all
    Administred on the holy Evangelist of Allmighty God in the presents of the Complainant
    (or def.t if any) touching the truth or Remembrance of their knowledge or
    any thing that may relate to the cause afd and that reduceing the severall depositions
    into writing you send the same together with this our commission under your or any
    three or two of your hands to us to our county court of somerset with all convenient speed
    Witness W.m Planner Gent.m one of Our Justices of our said Court the twenty fourth day of
    November in the sixteenth year of our dominion &.c   Ann.o Dom.r one thousand seven hundred
    and thirty      on the back side of the foregoing Commission it was Endorsed and
    Like wise to the same Commission it was annexed as followeth viz.t
