Peal Late of Somerset COunty Spinster the tenth day of March one thousand Seven hundred & twenty nine at Somerset County aforesaid did Committ adultery with a Certain Unknown person against the peace of the Right honrble the Lord Proprietary his Good Rule and Government and also against the form of the act of assembly in that Case made and provided &c Levin Gale P Dom Prory Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Marg.t Peal if &.c to answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the afd Margarett Peal in her proper person and thereupon the said Margaret Peal is Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the felon adultery aforesaid as above upon her Imposed says that of the adultery afd upon her Imposed She is Guilty thereof Therefore it is Considered by the Court that the aforesaid Margaret Peal pay three pounds Curr.t mony for her fine for the fact aforesaid unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary and that the Same Marg.t Peal be taken to Satisfie unto his Said Lordship of the fine aforesaid whereupon the Said Margarett Peall ^is ordered to^ Give Security for to pay the Severall Officers fees due by occasion of the premisses aforesaid thereupon a Certain Thomas Peal present herein Court undertakes for to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd &c Likewise the Said Margaret Peal is Ordered by the Court to Give Security to save and keep endempnified the Justices of Somerset County and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the Said County from all Costs and Charges and troubles for or by reason of the birth maintainance and nourishment of the Said Child &c Whereupon a Certain Thomas Peal of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in his proper person and acknowledged himselfe to owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of twenty pounds Sterling Good and Lawfull mony of England to be Levied of his Goods and Chattels Lands and tenements for the Use of his Said Lordship if default be made in ye Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the afd Margarett Peall do and Shall from time to time and at all times hereafter acquitt discharge and Save Harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court and their SUccessors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the Said County of & from all Costs, Charges & troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishment and bringing up of the Said Child and of and from all other Suits, Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same then the above Recognizance to be void Otherwise to remain &c
