       Whereupon the said Joshua Edge being Called appears and thereupon the Said Joshua Edge at the prayer of
the afd francis Allen by his attorney aforesaid is adjudged to give Speciall bail to the action aforesaid

          Thereupon a Certain John Magloghlin of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertakes for the
said Joshua Edge that if in Case the Said Francis Allen Should Recover Judgment in the plea aforesaid against
the Said Joshua Edge or that the Said Joshua Edge shall be therein Convict that then he the Said Joshua
Edge Shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or render his body to the Custody of the Sher of Somerset
Coty in Satisfaction thereof or that he Said John Magloghlin will do it for him

                     And thereupon the aforesaid Joshua Edge by his proper person Cometh & defendeth the force & Injury
       when &.c and saith that he Cannot Gainsay the action aforesaid of the francis nor but that he did assume upon
       himselfe in manner and form as the aforesaid Francis above against him Complained and as to the damage of
       the same Francis by him by Occasion of the premises in that part Sustained the Same Joshua Saith and Confesseth
       that the aforesaid francis hath Sustained damage by Occasion of the premises beyound his Costs and Charges by him
       about his Suit in that part apposed to four hundred and forty Six pounds of tobacco and not more and becaus
       the aforesaid Francis denys not this but the same allegation Confesseth to be true prays Judgm.t and those damages above
       Confessed together with His Costs and Charges aforesaid to him adjudged &c

                                 Therefore by Consent of the parties aforesaid it is Considered that the aforesaid Francis Allen Recover
       against the aforesaid Joshua Edge his damages aforesaid to four hundred and forty Six pounds of tobacco by the Same Joshua
263  in form aforesaid Confessed as also two hundred &^ sixty three                                          pounds of tobacco for his Costs &
       Charges aforesaid to the Same Francis at his request by the Court here of his assent Consent of the parties aforesaid
       adjudged which Certain damages in the whole do amount to seven hundred and Nine                                          pounds of
       tobacco and ye aforesaid Joshua in Mercy &c

      This being an action of trespass upon the Case &.c wherein the sher of
Somerset County to whom the writt in the same action was directed Comes and
makes Return thereof to ye Court here Endorsed Cepi Corpus P Jno Purnall sher
Whereupon the said William Boyne in his Own proper person appears &
    thereupon the Said William Boyne at the prayer of the plfts attorney is adjudged to Give Speciall bail
    to the action aforesaid               Thereupon a Certain John Follows of Somerset County planter present herein Court
    undertakes for the said William Boyne that if in Case the Said Robert Smith shall recover Judgm.t in the plea aforesaid
    against the said William Boyne or that the said William Boyne shall be therein Convict that then he the said
    WIlliam Boyne shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or render his body to the Custody of the
    Sher of Somerset County in Satisfaction thereof or that he ye Said John Follows will doe it for him

                   And thereupon the said William Boyne by Levin Gale his attorney prays that the said Robert Smith
