294 or any three or two of your hands to us to Our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient Speed Wittness Robert King Gent Chiefe Justice of Our Said Court the twenty Eighth day of November in the Eighteenth Year of our dominion &c Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two On the Backside of the Foregoing Commission it was Endorsed and Likewise to the Same Commission it was annexed April the 23.d 1733 then Came James Martin and Edward Rownd before me the Subscriber and was qualified according to the directions of the act of assembly duely to execute the within Commission Sworn before me Will Lane Aprill the 23.d 1733 Then Came William Lane before me the Subscriber and was qualified according to the directions of the act of assembly duely to Execute the within Commission sworn before me Jams Martin Somerset County ss By Vertue of a Commission to us directed from the Worshipfull the Justices of the County aforesaid to Examine Witnesses in relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Called Barstable have taken the following deposition vizt The deposition of John Purnall Sen.r of Somerset County aforesaid Gent aged Sixty Years or thereabouts being by us Sworn upon the holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth and Saith that a dead Read Oake now in his sight standing by the Side of a small Savanah near the head of Mattapony Creek is one of the bounders of a tract of Land formerly Surveyed for Daniel Selby Called Bantry the bounds of which was some time since assertained by Commissioners appointed by act of assembly and this deponant further saith that he verily's believes the aforesd tree to be the first bounder of the afd Land Called Barstable becaus the three first Courses from the afd tree are the Same with the western bounds of the afd Land Called Bantrey as will appear by the deed of the afd Land Called Barstable and further saith not The above deposition was taken by us the Subscribers being first duly qualified according to Law this 23d of aprill Anno Dom 1733 Willm Lane Edw Rownd Jam.s Martin
petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray The petition aforesaid being Read and head and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Catherine Jones be for the future discharged from paying of taxes for the afd Negro woman Called Moll as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c |
