277 Somerset ss Att a Court of the Right honrble Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c held for Somerset County at dividing Creek ^in^ the same County the third tuesday of march to witt the twentieth day of the Same month ann.o Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two by his Said Lordships Justices the peace in the Same County to keep assigned of whom were present
Proclamation being made in Usual form and the Sheriffe of Somerset County to witt Joshua Caldwell Gent being Called to make Return of the pannell of the Grand Jurors for the body of Somerset County Return the Same as Followeth viz.t John Donelson Will.m Jones manny, Jacob Cordery, John Mercy, John Dennis Sen.r, Joshua Sturges, John Beavins, Jonathan Sturges Stephen Waltom, John Selby, Richard Holland Henry Toadvine James West Hutton Hill John Pope Benj.a Holland Betts Collier, Johnson Hill Isaac Atkinson whereupon proclamation being made againe in Common form and the Jurors aforesaid so as aforesaid Impannelled being Severally Called over by their Names did appear as above and thereupon they ^were^ Sworn and Charged and Sent Out to Consider soon after the Jurors aforesaid being Impannelled sworne and Charged as aforesaid Return here into Court and being severally Called Over did appear and deliver to the Same Court the following presentments and Indictments to witt Indictments against John Goldsmith against James Townsend and presentments against John Patrick Edward Harper, Alise Carey, Benjamin Blizard, Ann More, Moses Chaille Jun.r Eliz.a Ainsworth James MccManny and Mary Garrott thereupon the Jurors aforesaid are discharged and Ordered that they be allowed for their publick Service this Court five hundred pounds of tobacco to be paid next Levy Court and against the afd John Goldsmith, Edward Harper, Alice Carey, Benjamin Blizard, Ann More, Moses Chaille Jun.r, James Mccmanus and Mary Garrott so as afd Indicted and presented It's ordered by the Court here that Capias ^Issue^ against them Returnable here to next Court &c
Called Happy addition the bounds whereof are decayed and the Evidence to prove the Same are Antient and Infirm Wherefore your petitioner prays that a Commission may Issue to Four Free |
