265 the Country and the afd Thomas Bluett who for his said Lordship in this part prosecutes Likewise &c Thereupon the said Nehemiah Hearn prays Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the aforesaid Thomas Bluett who &c here also Att which said next Court to witt the twenty first day of November anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty two Came againe as well the aforesaid Thomas Bluett who ^as well &c^ as the afd Nehemiah Hearn in his proper person And Thereupon Command is given to the sher of Somerset County that Immediately he Cause to Come before her for his said Lordships Justices here twelve &c by whome &c and who neither &c to recognize &c because as well &c and whereupon the Jurors of that same Jury By Joshua Caldwell ^Gent^ sher of Somerset County to this being Impannelled who were Called came to witt William Handy, Thomas Humphry's Edward Rownd, William White, John Scarbrough, Henry Schofeild, John Webb, Robert Mitchell, John Smith, John Givans, Bruffe Broughton and Hutton Hill who to say the truth of the premisses being elected tryed and Sworn upon their Oath did say that the aforesaid Nehemiah Hearn is not Guilty of the premisses aforesaid in the Information aforesaid Specified in manner and form as by the Information aforesaid above against him supposed Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Nehemiah Hearne be quiet &c and go thereof without day &c whereupon the said Nehemiah Hearne is ordered to Give Security for the paymt of the Severall Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd Thereupon a Certain Thomas Hearn of the County afd planter present here in Court undertakes for to pay the Severall Officers their Fees due as afd &c
Court to Understand and be Informed that a Certain Henry Mills Late of the County of Somerset Planter the first Day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty two at Somerset County aforesd did Import in this Province to witt into the County of Somerset aforesd one Negro Slave and Did not pay unto the Navell Officer of the County aforesd the Sum of twenty Shillings Sterling toward Defraying the Publick Charge of this Province Whereby the said Henry hath forfeited to the Right Honrble the Lord proprietary the Sume of five Pounds Sterling to be Recovered in any Court of Record in this Province by Action of Debt Bill Plaint or Information Wherefore the Said Thom.s Bluett prays the advice of this Court Concerning the Premises and that Due Process May Issue Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somerset County that he should take the said Henry Miles if he should be found in his bailywick and him should safe Keep so that he might have his body before his Lordships County Court of Somerset |
