259 According to the Directions thereof and to Call before you or any of you all those who in our County aforesaid Shall threaten to Doe any bodily harme to any of the Kings Subjects or to burne their Houses or otherwise break our peace and Misbehave themselves to find Sufficient Security of the Peace and good behaviour to us and the Said Subjects and if they shall Refuse to find such Security that then you Cause them to be Comitted into safe Custody untill they shall be Delivered by due Course of Law from thence also we have Assigned you and every three or more of you of Whome we will you the said Robert King, W.m Fasitt, John Smith, Balt.r hund.d, Will.m Stoughton and John Caldwell or one of you Always to be ^one^ our Justices to Enquire by the oaths of good and Lawfull men of your County aforesd by whome the truth of the premisses may be the better known of all and all manner of all and all manner of Felones Witchcrafts, Enchantments Sorceris arts magick Trespasses, Engroseings, Regrateings, Forestallings and Extortions whatsoever and of all other Misfeazances and Offences whatsoever of wich Justices of our peace Lawfully may or ought to Enquire by whomesoever or howsoever in our County afd done or Committed or which may hereafter happen to be done or Committed and also of all those who in our County afd in Riotous Manner have gone or Rode or shall hereafter presume to go or Ride with armed force against our peace to the Disturbance of the Kings Subjects and of all Such who in our County aforesd have Lain or shall hereafter presume to Lye in wait to maim or Kill any of the Kings Subjects and Also of all ordinery Keepers and other persons whoe have offended or hereafter shall presume to offend in the abouse of Weights or Measures against the act of assembly for the Common good and profit now in this province made and used and Also of the Sheriffs Bailiffs Constables and other Officers who have or shall hereafter misbehave themselves in the Execution of their Offices or have been Remise or Negligent in the Execution thereof or shall hereafter happen so to be within our County aforesd and of all and every the articles Matters and things whatsoever howsoever or by whomesoever in our County afd Done or Committed or that shall hereafter happen to be Done or Committed Concerning the premisses or any of them and to Inspect all Indictments before you or any of you taken or to be taken or before our Late Justices of the Peace within our said County had and taken and not yet Determined and process thereon against all or any person person's so Indicted or which shall hereafter happen to be Indicted within our County aforesd to make and Continue untill they shall be taken or Surrenders themselves or be out Lawed and to hear and Determine all and Every the Felonies Witchcrafts Enchantments Sorceries Arts Magick Trespasses Forestallings Regratings |
