    To the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County now in Court Sitting the humble
petition of Sarah Davis widdow sheweth that whereas Your petitioners two Negroes
Sambo and bess are both of them Old feble and not able to Labour and rather a Charge than
any benefitt to her she therefore pray that Your worships will Grant such order as in your wisdom
shall think fitt that your petitioner may be acquitted from paying of taxes for the Said Negro's
and as in duty bound she will ever pray &c            Sarah Davis

          The petition aforesaid being read and heard ^&^ fully understood  wherefore it is Considered
that the aforesaid Sarah Davis be discharged for the future from paying of taxes for the afd Negroes
(to wit) Sambo and Bess as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c

    To the Worshipfull Court now Sitting the humble petition of Edward Pointer
humbly sheweth that whereas Your petitioner is disabled in his Limbs and not
       able to work scarcely to make bread to eat humbly prays that he may be tax free and as in duty
bound shall ever pray                     Edward Pointer

             The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation
thereupon had wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Edward Pointer be discharged for
the future from paying of Taxes as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c

Ordered that a County Road be Cleared and Causwayed where needfull from the wading place at
back Creek into the main road by Edward Cluffes and that David Willson be Overseer of the Same road
from Back Creek wading place to a Girdle tree Standing near Stevenses Branch   and Likewise that Laz.s
Maddox be Overseer from the Same Girdle tree into the main road by Edward Clufes &c


Thomas Dashiell
        petn
    To the worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County now in Court the humble
petition of Thomas Dashiell sheweth          That your petitioner having an Old Negro
          man Called Harculus that is a great Charge being past Labour in so much that he is not Capable
of Earning his bread your petitioner humbly prays they may be tax free and your petitioner shall ever
pray &c                                                                Thomas Dashiell

             The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood a mature deliberation thereupon
had   wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the aforesaid Thomas Dashiell be discharged for the
future from paying of taxes for the aforesaid Negro Man Called Harculus as by the pet.n afd is praid &c
