                   Att a Court of the Right honrble Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces
    of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c held for Somerset County at dividing Creek
    in the Same County ^to witt^ the third tuesday of August ^the fifteenth day of the same month^ anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred
    thirty two by his Said Lordships Justices the peace in the Same County to keep assigned of
    whom were present

To the worshipfull the Justices of the County of Somerset now in Court Sitting
the humble petition of Thomas Trewitt humbly sheweth
                                That your petitioner has been in a very Miserable Condition this Long
time by being afflicted having the hard fortune to be purblind this Severall Years and your
petitioner being under a great hardship to pay taxes therefore your petitioner humbly prays
that your worships will be pleased to Consider the deplorable Estate of your poor petitioner
and to Grant an order of Court that your petitioner may be tax Free and in so doing your
petitioner as in duty bound forever pray                  Thomas Trewitt

    The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation
thereupon had wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Thomas Trewitt be tax free
untill such time as please God to restore him to his Eye sight againe &c

Flora a negro Girle of John Gray Jun.r is adjudged by the Court to the age of ten Years this term &c

         Petn
To the worshipfull his Lordships Justices of Somerset County Court now
sitting              the humble petition of Thomas Stockwell having had above
                   13 months Sickness and Lameness this summer last Summer and Loosing the Chiefe of
my Supportment that should assist me and have been in Coventry parish this is the 47 Year
and ever paid the Country dues and am forced to make my Complaint to Your worships for redress
case me of paying any more taxes which in so doing your humble petitioner shall be bound
in duty for ever pray
                                                                            Thomas Stockwell

                   The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation
had   wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Thomas Stockwell be for the future tax
free as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c

Phillis a negro Girle of John Finch is adjudged by the Court to the age of Eight Years

Amey a negro Girle of William Polk is adjudged by the Court to the age of ten Years
