Pathenia Taylor if &c to answer &c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Pathenia Taylor in
her proper person and Says that of the premisses aforesaid above upon her Imposed she is Guilty thereof
and makes Oath that a Certain Paul Craghin is the begetter of the Child aforesaid but hath nothing
to pay her fine for the fact afd      wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Pathenia Taylor be whiped
at the publick whiping post with fifteen Lashes on the bare back well Laid on untill the blood appear
and as to the Corporall punishment aforesaid Command is Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he do
thereof Immediate Execution by whiping of the Said Pathenia Taylor at the public whiping pos
post with fifteen Lashes on the bear back well Laid on untill the blood appear and that she be taken
&c afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said sher and return'd that as to the Corporall punishment
aforesaid as by the Judgm.t aforesaid Rendered he had done thereof Immediate Execution &c whereupon
ye said Pathenia Taylor is ordered to Give Security for the payment of Severall Officers their fees
due by Occasion of the premisses  thereupon a Certain Henry Smith of Somerset County present
herein Court undertakes for the Said Pathenia Taylor to pay the Severall Officers Fees due as afd &c


The Same

Ann Maycomb
We of the Grand Jury on Our Oath for Somerset County do present Ann Maycomb
Spinster of the parish of Somerset for bearing of a bastard Child at the house
of Robert Maycomb some time in the month of Janry Last          E Rownd foreman
     Robert Jones Informer
                                               Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somerset County that he
     should take the Said Ann Maycomb if &c to answer &c       and afterwards in the Same Court Came
the said Ann Maycomb in her proper person and Says that of the premisses aforesaid upon her Imposed
she is Guilty thereof and makes Oath that a Certain Patrick Stewart is the begetter of the Child
aforesaid and is willing to pay her fine for the fact aforesaid &c

       Wherefore it is Considered that the afd Ann Maycomb be fined pay unto his Lordship for her fine
for by the Court hereupon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form
aforesaid she is Convict thirty Shillings Currant money and that the Said Ann Maycomb be taken to
Satisfie for the fine &c    whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid Ann Maycomb
Give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd but
for want thereof she is Committed into ^the^ Custody of the sher of Somerset County thereto remaine ye said
sher to witt Jos Caldwell of Somerset County Gent took Charge of ye said Ann Maycomb accordingly &c
