Somerset County ss    Att a Court of the Right honrble Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the
provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c held at dividing Creek by his
said Lordships Commissioners and Justices of ye County afd the peace to keep assigned the third
tuesday of June to witt the twentieth day of the Same month and in the 18th Year of his said
Lordships dominion &c    anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two of whom were
present

                                                  Proclamation being made in Common form his Lordships
    Commission of the peace for the County of Somerset being produced was openly read in
    these words following viz.t      Maryland ss.t  Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the
provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c  To Robert King, William Fasit John
Smith of Baltemore hundred William Stoughton John Caldwell John MccClester John Handy James Dashiell
John Scot, James Martin William Lane, Thomas Williams Henry Ballard and David Willson of Somerset
County Gentl:  Greeting  Know Ye that we have assigned you and every of you Joyntly and severally
Our Justices to keep our peace within Our County of Somerset and to keep and Cause to be keept all
and Singular the Reasonable Good Laws and Statutes of that part of the Kingdom of Great
Brittain Called England and all Laws and Ordinances of this Our province made for the Conservation
of the peace and Quiet Rule and Goverment of the Kings Subjects within
our said County and to Chastize and punnish all persons offending against
the Same Laws Statutes and Ordinances or any of them as According
to the forme of those Laws Statutes and Ordinances or any of them
Shall be fit to be done and to Call before you or any you all those who
in our County aforesd shall threaten to do any Bodily harm to any of the
Kings Subjects or to burne their Houses or otherwise break our peace and
Misbehave themselves to find Sufficient Security of the peace and good
Behaviour to us and the Said Subjects and if they shall Refuse to find such
Security that then you Cause them to be Committed into Safe Custody untill
they Shall be Delivered by due Course of Law from thence alsoe we have
assigned you and Every three or more of you of whome we will you the s.d
Rob.t King, William Fasitt, John Smith Ball.t Hundred William
Stoughton and John Caldwell ^or^ one of you always to be one our
Justices to Enquire by the Oaths of Good and Lawfull men of our County
aforesd by whome the truth of the premisses may be the better known of all
