163 Nelson Hath known the aforesd white oak this thirty years and further Saith not Chirs.a Glass Aged About 52 Years of age or there abouts being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God Saith that a Certain white oak which hath be^e^n formerly Markt Standing about 40 yards N:E: from a branch or Gulley was allways deemed to stand in the divisionall line between Exon and Conveniency and further Saith not this taken before us Jam.s Martin Edmd Hough
of a Certain John Goddart Guardian of George Booth of the County afd in relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Lying in the County afd Called Chance we therefore Require you or any three or two of you at Some time and place as to you or any three or two of You shall Seem Convenient you meet on the afd Land Called Chance (you first having taken your oaths on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God according to act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided) and there Cause to Come before you or any three or two of you all Such Evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainant or deft (if any) and that you or any three or two of you Examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred on the holy evangelist of Almighty God in the presents of the Complainant or deft (if any) touching the truth or Remembrances of their Knowledge or any thing that may relate to the Cause afd and that Reduceing the Severall depossitions into writing you send the Same together with this Our Commission under Your or any three or two of your hands to us to Our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient Speed Wittness William Planner Gent One of Our Justices of our said Court the twentieth day of march in the Sixteenth Year of Our dominion &c Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Afterwards in the Same Court to witt this twenty first day of March one thousand seven hundred and thirty one Came here into Court Thomas Gillis and William Keeble two of the Gent.n nominated in the above Commission & made Return of the Same with the Severall depositions following and to the Same Commission annexed may ye 6.th 1731 Came the within Named Thomas Gillis and William Keeble and was Sworn to Execute the within Commission according to ^an^ act of assembly in SUch Case made and provided before me Jno Handy Somerset County ss The deposition of Edward Sirman taken by us the Subscribers by virtue of a Commission to us directed bearing date 20.th day of March 1730 Impowering us to Examine Evidences in Relation to the bounds of a tract of Land in the County afd in Behalf of John Goddard Guardian to George Booth Called Chance taken before us this 8.th day of may 1731 Tho.s Gillis W.m Kibble Edw.d Sirman Aged Sixty four years or their bouts Being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God Deposeth and Saith that about Eighteen Years agoe he |
