108 a tract of Land lying in Somerset County on the north Side of Seanourn River on a Creek Called broad Creek Called & known by the Name of Adventures amendment and that Severall of the Evidences who are acquainted with the bounds of the Said tract of Land are removed out of this province and Your Petitioner being apprehensif that if the Evidences who are now in the province Should remove them Selves out of this province or be removed by Death Your petitioner thereby may in prossess of time be Deprived of proveing the bounds of the said Tract of Land humbly prays that a Commission may be Granted to perpetuate the bounds of the said Tract of Land According to an Act of Assembly of this Province in that Case made and provided and Your petitioner will Ever Pray Octob.r 7.th 1731 W.m Stoughton The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had wherefore it is Considered that a Commission Issue to the aforesaid William Stoughton as by the petition aforesaid is praid And that Levin Gale Thomas Dashiell, George Dashiell and Robert Jones all of Somerset County Gentlemen be Commissioners and Execute the Same Commission according to Law &c Hugh Macollogon a pore antient decriped person Comes here in Court and prays that he may be discharged from paying of Levys for the future &.c whereupon the prmisses Considered it is ordered by the Court here that the afd Hugh Maccollogon be discharged from paying of Levies for the future &.c Thomas Williams appointed overseer of the Roads in Annamessex hundred further than his Usuall Limitts that is to Say from William Dixon's barrs along the road to the head of Jone's Creek and that All the Labourers on the Upperside of Jones's Creek to his Usuall Limitts be deemed Labourers under the afd overseer &c
set to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt hereselfe of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed she is Gilty thereof and makes oath that a Certain James Smith Jun.r is the father of the Child She Stands presented for and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Rachell Waltom pay to his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary Six hundred pounds of tobacco for her fine for the fact aforesaid by occasion of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed and that the Said Rachell Waltom be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of the tine afd wherefore it is Ordered by the Court here that the Said Rachell Waltom Give Security for the payment of the fine afd and the Severall Officers their fees due by Occasion of the premisses as also for her appearance at November Court next to Give Evidence in behalfe of his Said Lordship against the afd James Smith but for want |
