Whereupon the said James Rowland being Called Appears and thereupon
the said James Rowland at the prayer of the Plef.t by his Attorney afd is adjudged
to give Speciall Bail to the Action afd but for want thereof the said Jam.s
Rowland is Committed into the Custody of the She.r of Somerset County
there thereto remaine &.c  The Sher to witt John Purnall Gent.m Present herein co^u^rt
took Charge of teh said James Rowland accordingly thereupon day is given
unto James Rowland as In Custody as afd untell the Next Court and the
same day is Given to the afd Plef.t here also &.c  Att which said Next Court
to witt the fifteenth day of June one thousand Seven hundred and thrity
one Came again the said Hugh Porter by his attorney afd as the said James
Rowland in his Proper person in Custody as afd and the said James Rowland
defends the force and Injury when &.c and says that he Cannot Gainsay
