of the damages aforesaid whereof he is Convict and that he Should then and there have this writt &c

Att which which Said next Court to witt the fifteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred
and thirty One being the day of the return of the Said Writt Cometh the Said James Edwards by Levin Gale
his attorney and the Sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed ^likewise^ Comes and makes return
thereof to the Court here Endorsed vizt      By vertue of the within within writt to me directed I have made of the
Goods and Chattells of the within Names James Lindow the Sum of Eight pounds tenn Shillings and Eight pence Curr
mony and three hundred and Ninty Seven pounds of tobacco which I have Ready in my hands to Satisfie to the within
Names James Edwards as by the within Writt I am Commanded so answers            John Purnall sher

    Command was Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should Take of the Goods

and Chattells of James Lindow Late of Somerset County marriner being in Your bailywick he Should
             make Eleven pounds One Shilling and Eight pence Curr.t money and three hundred and Eighty Eight pounds
of tobacco which to John Stewart in his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek in Somerset
County afd were adjudged for his damages which he had by Occasion of a Certain promise and assumption to the
Same John Stewart by the aforesaid James Lindow Lately made and not performed so that he might have the
Same mony and tobacco before the Justices of Our ^his Lordships^ County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek the third
tuesday of June next where of he is Convict and have you then & there this writt wittness &c

             Att which Said third tuesday of June to witt the fifteenth day of The Same Month ann.o Dom One thousand
Seven hundred and thirty One being the day of the return of the Said Writt Cometh the Said John Stewart
by Francis ALlen his attorney and the Sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed likewise
Comes and makes Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed vizt

    By Vertue of the within Writt to me directed I have made of the Goods and Chattells of the Within
Named James Lindow Eleven pounds One Shilling and Eight pence Curr money of maryland and three hundred
& Eighty Eight pounds of tobacco which I have paid to the within Named John Stewart as by the within Writt
I am Commanded so answers                              John Purnall sher

    Command was Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he should take John Horsey
Late of Somerset county Marriner if he Should be found in his bailywick and
him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of november ^then^ next to answer unto
John Harristoy of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.c and that thereof he Should not fail &c

       Att which Said third tuesday of November to witt the Seventeenth day of the Same month Anno Dom One
thousand Seven hundred and thirty being the day of the Return of the Said writt Cometh the Said John Harristoy
by ^Fran Allen^ his attorney afd and the Sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed Likewise
Cometh and maketh Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed viz.t  Cepi Corpus P John Purnall sher
And the said John Horsey In his proper person Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &.c and
prayed Leave thereof to Imparle here untill the next Court and he had it and the Same day is Given
to the afd John Harristoy also &c

                   Att which Said next Court to witt the Sixteenth day of March One thousand Seven hundred and
