33 Somerset County ss: Att a Court of the Right honrble Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.c held at dividing Creek in somerset County afd by his said Lordship's Commissioners and Justices of the peace the third tuesday of August being the Eighteenth day of the same month and in the Sixteenth Year of his said Lordships dominion &.c Ann.o Dom 1730 & & Present
Tom a negro boy of Samuel Willson is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of Nine Years &c
the same two years agoe was your petitioner prays your worships may make an order that the road [illegible] on the Out side of his fenceing and ditching and your petitioner as in duty bound shall pray Eph Willson The Petition afd being Read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it Seemeth to the Justices here that the afd Ephraim Willson turn the Road as by his petition afd is praid &c
petitioner humbly prays your worships would be pleased to set your petitioner tax free he having three small Children to maintain and being unable to make bread to maintain himselfe and them therefore your petitioner hopes that your worships Charity will discharge your petitioner from paying any more fines and your petitioner as in duty bound shall pray Mathew Patrick The Petition afd being Read and heard and pray understood and mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the aforesaid Mathew Patrick be discharged from paying of Taxes for the future as by the petition afd is praid &c
ever was Levy free in Dorchester County hoping to find the like Christian treatment here and in hopes of the Same I humbly Crave your worships admittance and your petitioner as in duty bound shall pray John Warner The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd John Warner be for the future Levy free as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c |
